Learning through play
In today’s highly pressured, competitive world, many parents do not appreciate the importance of play, with cultural shifts, resulting in ‘less time, fewer safe spaces and more digital distractions.’
But play is not frivolous. Indeed play is fundamental to health, giving us opportunities to have experiences and practice skills needed to live in our complex world.
This is why Self-Defined and InnerApps looks to encourage active engagement in learning through play. It is also why we encourage activities with children that look to promote mindfulness, relaxation and resilience through play activities.
The goal is to create an opportunity for ‘joyful discovery’ of skills such as relaxation breathing, muscle relaxation and meditation through play.
